How to prevent concrete pumping pipe blockage?

1. The operator is not concentrated
The operator of the delivery pump shall concentrate on the pumping construction and pay attention to the reading of the pumping pressure gauge at all times. Once the reading of the pressure gauge suddenly increases, the pump shall be reversed for 2-3 strokes immediately, and then the pump shall be aligned, and the pipe blockage can be eliminated. If the reverse pump (positive pump) has been operated for several cycles and the pipe blockage has not been eliminated, the pipe shall be removed and cleaned in time, otherwise the pipe blockage will be more serious.
2. Improper selection of pumping speed
When pumping, the selection of speed is very important. The operator cannot blindly map fast. Sometimes, speed is not enough. When pumping for the first time, due to the large resistance of the pipeline, the pumping shall be conducted at a low speed. After the pumping is normal, the pumping speed can be increased appropriately. When there is a sign of pipe plugging or the slump of a truck of concrete is small, pump at a low speed to eliminate pipe plugging in the bud.
3. Improper control of surplus material
During pumping, the operator must always observe the residual material in the hopper, which shall not be lower than the mixing shaft. If the residual material is too small, it is very easy to inhale air, causing pipe plugging. The material in the hopper shall not be piled too much, and shall be lower than the protective fence to facilitate timely cleaning of coarse aggregate and oversized aggregate. When the slump of a truck of concrete is small, the surplus material can be lower than the mixing shaft and controlled above the “S” pipe or suction inlet to reduce the mixing resistance, swing resistance and suction resistance. This method is only applicable to “S” valve series concrete pumps.
4. Improper measures are taken when the concrete collapses for too long
When it is found that the slump of a bucket of concrete is too small to pump, the concrete shall be discharged from the bottom of the hopper in time. If you want to save time, forced pumping is likely to cause pipe plugging. Never add water to the hopper for mixing.
5. Too long downtime
During the shutdown, the pump shall be started every 5-10min (the specific time depends on the temperature of the day, the concrete slump and the initial setting time of the concrete) to prevent pipe plugging. For concrete that has been stopped for a long time and has initially set, it is not appropriate to continue pumping.
6. The pipeline is not cleaned
The pipeline is not cleaned after the last pumping, which will cause pipe plugging during the next pumping. Therefore, after each pumping, the delivery pipeline must be cleaned according to the operating procedures.
7. Pipes shall be arranged according to the shortest distance, the least elbow and the largest elbow to minimize the transmission resistance, thus reducing the possibility of pipe plugging.
8. The cone pipe at the pump outlet shall not be directly connected to the elbow, but shall be connected to the straight pipe with a diameter of at least 5 mm before being connected to the elbow.
